Chris is a very talented artist, and more importantly, quite passionate about her subject matter and the medium that she has chosen to use. Watercolour is the most demanding of painting mediums, and the most difficult to master, yet she has managed to create wonderful works of art that show an amazing passion for, and connection with her subject matter. 

I own two of her wonderful flower paintings, which hang in a prominent spot in my dining room. She has also done an amazing portrait of me, which completely blew me away when I saw it. Portraits are the most difficult subject in any medium. Not only did she capture my personality, but she did so in a very demanding medium, seemingly without effort.

We lost our much loved Swedish Vallhund, Freija, to old age in 2019. She was a great companion and gave us a lot of joy with her lively personality. We were delighted with the portrait by Chris. Not only did she capture Freija's physical likeness, she captured her spirit perfectly. When we first saw the portrait, it brought back so many memories that I wept.

With her amazing techniques, Chris has captured an image of several subjects, such as my grandfather, whom I have never met, but now I feel at least I know what he looked like, for the first time in my 70 plus years. 

Chris has captured the likeness of my cherished pet, Willie as a puppy, which gives me pleasure every time I look at it. I thank her for bringing so much joy. 

It's like the subjects of her sketches are frozen in time; their likeness is not complicated by surrounding detail, but come to life, in a sense.

Chris is an amazing and talented watercolour artist. Her sensitivity, skill and her ability to perceive the personality of her subject is really quite breathtaking. Her incredible final works bear the meaning, memory and love one feels regarding the subject. A potent combination indeed!

In my personal case, seeing the unbelievable portrait Chris surprised me with of my recently passed, beautiful husband made me gasp in disbelief at the ‘realness’ I saw in his eyes!!!

She saw and included all the little things about him that most would miss, making her painting so personal and incredibly real to me!! The details matter so much!
